What’s for dinner?
Everyone in my house asks me this question and I am running out of recipes. I think we are all bored…
Does anyone have any good ideas?
Links or recipes would be great.
I do browse food Network.com often but some of the meals require me to buy 5,000 ingredients and I already have a cabinet full of all types of spices.
Last night was homemade chicken fajitas, the night before Beef stew with tons of veggies, the night before that – I made Penne Vodka with chicken and a side of broccoli. The problem is it is getting cold here and I need some Comfort Foods for my family.

First of all your meals sound fantastic!
I know for me when I’m starting to get bored with food, I start to learn about different cultures, what they eat and how they eat and it picked me up. I try to do hotter climates during the summer like Thai, and spanish, and during the winter I try for cultures that are colder like German food, or Russian.
Shepards pie is my favorite. I’m a vegatarian so I make mine with mushrooms and mushroom gravy instead of meat, but you can do it either way. Whatever meat you have cubbed, a simple gravy and some vegetables. You can also add mushroom even if you are doing meat. Then mash some potatos (make two servings and freeze one) top meat and gravy with potatos, shreaded cheese and put under the broiler until cheese is bubbly.
Very Good with side salad!
