Spirit Christmas
How does one get in the Christmas Spirit?
I am going through a stressful time academically and at home. I really want to enjoy my holidays and appreciate them as much as I can. How would one go about raising their “inner Christmas spirit”?
Getting into the Christmas spirit is not hard! It’s fun actually when you already are in the Christmas spirit, wonderful miracles can occur! To get into the Christmas spirit I have some ideas that will really really help. Here are my ideas:
-Send Christmas cards and post cards to friends and family.
-Sing Christmas Carols.
-Watch lots of Christmas classical movies like, A Miracle on 34th Street, The Polar Express, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Eloise at Christmastime, and/or Home Alone.
-Bake decorative Christmas cookies.
-Spend quality time with your family.
-Take some time to walk/drive around to see all of the beautiful Christmas lights and decorations everyone put up.
-Give/buy gifts for your friends and family.
-Start a Secret Santa with a group.
-Play in the snow, I mean seriously, you can’t get too old for that!
-Listen to Christmas music.
-Join/sign up for a Christmas play like the Nutcracker.
-Take lots of pictures of your family by the Christmas tree if you have one.
-If you don’t have it up yet, put up a Christmas tree.
-Go to a store and politely ask them if you can stand next to the store and organize a toy drive to give gifts to the orphans.
